About Solo Quant

Solo Quant builds predictive analytics for futures markets. The platform analyses how instruments reacted to past economic releases and, before the next release, reports directional bias, confidence, consistency and expected volatility for each instrument. Our proprietary trading and risk model is deterministic and works only from historical market data.

The first phase covers GC, NQ and ES around CPI, NFP and FOMC. Our clients are prop firms, hedge funds, institutional traders and research teams. The product and the team are at an early stage.

The team is small, and each hire owns part of the product. We look for self-motivated people who drive their own work without close supervision. We use Claude Code and other AI tools every day for coding, research and analysis, and we expect you to check AI output as critically as your own work.

We usually work between 8:00 and 20:00 CET (CEST in summer).

What you'll do
  • Support senior legal staff with research, memos, contract reviews and first drafts.
  • Keep our policies up to date.
  • Track legal and regulatory changes that affect prop trading, payments and consumer rights.
  • Investigate and answer customer complaints and disputes in writing, working with support and risk.
  • Support compliance tasks: our voluntary AML/KYC programme, payout eligibility reviews, GDPR requests and record-keeping.
  • Review marketing, website and social copy for compliant claims and disclaimers.
  • Help with corporate housekeeping for the group entities: registrations, licenses and filings.
What we're looking for
  • A law student in the 4th or final year of a law degree, or a law graduate.
  • 0-2 years of experience at a law firm, in-house team or compliance function.
  • Excellent written English for legal and customer-facing writing.
  • You work carefully and stay organized with confidential information.
  • Interest in fintech, consumer protection, data protection or corporate law.
  • You are comfortable with tight deadlines and a fast-moving small team.
Nice to have
  • Spanish or Hungarian language skills.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, EU and US consumer law, AML rules or UAE free zone regulation.
  • Familiarity with trading, futures or prop firms.
  • Bar admission in progress.
What we offer
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Compensation based on experience, negotiable.
  • Direct mentoring from senior legal staff.
  • Cross-border work across Hungary, the UAE and global markets.
  • Access to AI tools for research and drafting.
  • A young, motivated team.
  • Room to grow based on performance.
